Does CPEC affect import duty?
CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) and the China-Pakistan FTA Phase II provide preferential tariff treatment for many Pakistani agri-export categories. Pink salt currently attracts preferential or zero duty under CPFTA. Your shipment requires Pakistan-issued COO with CPFTA preference flag (we issue at no extra cost). Verify current rate with your China customs broker.
Why is Karachi-Shanghai 22-28 days?
Standard sea-freight transit for Karachi-Shanghai route. Vessels typically transship at Singapore or Colombo. Direct services exist but are less frequent. Karachi-Ningbo and Karachi-Qingdao similar transit. For faster delivery, air freight is available for sample-volume orders (3-5 days, USD 8-12/kg).
How does Halal certification work for China imports?
China has its own Halal certifying ecosystem (China Islamic Association, regional Halal certifying bodies). For Halal-strict end customers (Hui/Uyghur food sector), we provide Pakistan Halal Authority + China-Islamic chain recognition. For mainstream non-Halal end customers, Halal cert is not required by GACC for salt imports.
What e-commerce private-label support do you offer?
Standard: 100g/250g/500g/1kg PET jars, glass jars with cork, pouches with zip-lock. We coordinate with your design team and print at our Hyderabad facility. What's the freight cost from Karachi to Shanghai?

How does CIQ inspection work?
CIQ (China Inspection and Quarantine) inspects food imports at port. For registered suppliers (us), inspection is sample-based; clearance typically 7-14 days. For first-time suppliers, full inspection extends to 21-30 days. Lab tests cover heavy metals, microbial, residue, packaging integrity. We pre-test per shipment and provide CIQ-aligned COA.
What payment terms work for Chinese buyers?
Standard: 30% TT advance + 70% LC at sight via Chinese banks (ICBC, Bank of China, CCB, Agricultural Bank). Trade Assurance via Alibaba supported. CFR/CIF preferred over FOB by many Chinese buyers (we coordinate freight). Avoid open-account terms on first orders.
Can you supply for Tmall 11.11 / 6.18 e-commerce events?
Yes — major events drive 30-40% of annual e-commerce volume. We recommend 60-90 day forward-contracting for sufficient inventory at warehouse. Lead time order-to-warehouse for China is ~50-70 days (origin production + 22-28 day transit + 7-14 day customs). Plan accordingly.
Do you ship to China bonded warehouses?
Yes — Shanghai Free Trade Zone (Shanghai FTZ), Tianjin FTZ, Hangzhou Cross-border E-commerce Pilot Zone, Guangzhou Nansha Bonded all standard destinations. Bonded warehouse import allows VAT deferral until retail sale; popular with cross-border e-commerce sellers.
Are there any sanctions or restrictions on Pakistani salt to China?
